Cooked Goose

politics and voices from the underground

more about the author

Cooked Goose, aka Jenny Mincin, is a PhD student at the City University of New York Graduate Center and consultant in emergency management and human services/disability.  I hope this will be an interactive blog where I can share my perspective on politics, homeland security, disability, and women's issues, and, of course, invite voices from the underground to shine up.

My background includes the study of religion , politics and policy as well as an extensive background in disaster human services, government, non-profit, and humanitarian affairs.  I have a masters degree from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and received my undergrad degree from Barnard College, Columbia University.  I majored in religion and minored in environmental science. I am a native New Yorker and a person with a disability.  I have has spent most of my adult life working on disability issues and advocating for equal treatment.

The name of this site is inspired by all those who speak up, get in trouble, and keep on fighting and from Outkast.
